NBA round-up: Warriors steal narrow win at the death

    The Warriors had led by 24 points in the second half but hung on to open a three-game road trip with a sixth straight victory.

    Klay Thompson had 32 points and Stephen Curry scored 23 for the Warriors and Draymond Green added 10 points and 13 rebounds.

    For Philadelphia Ish Smith scored 18 points and Jahlil Okafor had 13 on his return after missing two games due to illness.

    The Toronto Raptors defeated the Detroit Pistons 111-107 to reach a franchise best 11 straight wins with DeMar DeRozan leading on 29 points.

    Kyle Lowry scored 18 points, backup center Bismack Biyombo added 12 points and 13 assists and Cory Joseph also had 16 points off the bench.

    Reserve guard Brandon Jennings led the way for Detroit with 22 points and starter Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 15.

    Andre Drummond recorded his NBA -leading 39th double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds.

    The Indiana Pacers edged to a 109-105 overtime win over the Denver Nuggets with Monta Ellis scoring a season-high 32 points and adding nine rebounds.

    Having missed a three-pointer with the game tied 99-99 at the end of regulation Ellis converted another with 20.4 seconds to go in overtime to seal a second straight win for the Pacers.

    Danilo Gallinari scored 23 points for Denver, with Kenneth Faried scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. Gary Harris scored 18 points and rookie Nikola Jokic had 16 points and 11 rebounds.

    Jrue Holiday hit a 15-foot shot with 1.3 seconds remaining as the New Orleans Pelicans held off the Brooklyn Nets by a 105-103 score.

    Holiday’s final shot gave him a team-best 26 points and he also had seven assists.

    In his first game back since concussion New Orleans’ Anthony Davis scored 20 points and added 16 rebounds.

    Ryan Anderson scored 24 points off the bench.

    The Nets suffered a third straight defeat.

    Brook Lopez scored 33 points and had 10 rebounds, Wayne Ellington scoring 18.

    John Wall led the scoring for the Washington Wizards with 19 points in the 123-122 win over the Houston Rockets.

    James Harden led the Rockets scoring with an impressive 40 points and Dwight Howard scored 20.

    Cleveland Cavaliers were 117-103 winners against the San Antonio Spurs, LeBron James leading the scoring with 29 points.

    The Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Sacramento Kings 121-117.
