    Former cricket stars are set to shine again in the Masters Champions League, which kicks off this Thursday in Dubai.

    As a Twenty20 series of matches, Dubai will see an opening Ceremony with the Libra Legends vs the Gemini Arabians at its Sports City stadium.

    DUBAI SHOW JUMPING 2016
    Thursday, 28th – Saturday, 30th January 2016

    Three days of show jumping gets underway at the Emirates Equestrian Centre (EEC) on January 28 where Olympian medalists will join the UAE’s best showjumpers in competition.

    Forming part of the region-wide Arab League, the event aims to draw in all-comers with a wide variety of activity on show for people of all ages.

    From family entertainment and activities to food and beverage stands, pony rides, activities for children and prizes, there’s a little bit for everyone.

    IRONMAN 70.3 DUBAI
    Friday, 29th January 2016

    Dubai will host the most challenging triathlon in the world, and you don’t want to miss the action!

    Athletes from around the world have been fully dedicated for this event, and the competition will prove to be a fierce one.

    The 70.3 in the title of the event describes the miles that will be covered in the race, a 1.2-mile (1.9 km) swim, a 56-mile (90 km) bike ride, and a 13.1-mile (21.1 km) run.

    RACING AT MEYDAN

    Take in all the action from a busy card at Meydan Racecourse this Saturday.

    As the Dubai World Cup is o the horizon Racing at Meydan is the perfect opener to the competition.

    ARABIAN GULF LEAGUE

    The UAE’s premier football league gets back into the swing of things with an exciting week 16 fixture list, which sees Al Wahda at home against Al Jazira and Al Nasr away to Al Wasl.

    There is a full schedule of fixtures, with matches being played across Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

    ELECTRIC RUN IN ABU DHABI
    Friday, January 29

    Daman’s ActiveLife Electric Run will feature an enhanced 5K route for its Abu Dhabi debut on 29 January.

    The World’s Brightest 5K, which takes place at the Yas Marina Circuit, will consist of eight brightly coloured fantasy lands designed to heighten the overall experience of Electric Runners on the night.

    Electric Runners will start their journey going off in waves and make their way through a tunnel to enter the first magical world of Electro Rainforest featuring over 300 vibrantly lit umbrellas hovering overhead whilst participants run, walk or dance their way amidst the soothing sounds of the forest.
