Visitors at SkyDive Dubai will not be short of options for entertainment this weekend as the Beach Polo Cup returns, providing not only some thrilling encounters but plenty of activities for all ages.
Tickets are on sale for the popular annual two-day event, which begins on Friday.
Four teams – the event’s presenting sponsor Cadillac, team sponsors Qatar Airways, Lindt and Hills Advertising will battle for glory for the prestigious title.
With players from Argentina, the UK, Brazil, Sweden, Switzerland and the UAE featuring, it promises to be an entertaining affair on the purpose-built sand field.
The tournament begins with two qualifying games on Friday followed by the third-place play-offs and Final on Saturday.
But off the field, there’s plenty of activities that will keep you busy throughout the day.
In the Majlis Zone, Cadillac’s flagship car – CT6 will be on display, providing a perfect opportunity to snap a picture with the stylish vehicle.

Luxury watchmaker Longines will have some of their watches on show for guests to try on, while you can see how it feels to be in a Qatar Airways first-class cabin at their booth.
There’s something for the children as well with a special built play zone, where they can do arts and crafts and meet Haribo Gold Bear.
And the fun doesn’t stop there. Once the Finals are completed, be ready to be amazed with a stunning fireworks display.
There will also be special horse stunt shows performed by Team Z7 to wow the crowd.
Now in its 12th year, the event has grown to become a worldwide phenomenon and is held in over 30 cities across the globe.
Previous editions have been a huge success and whether you’re a fan of polo or not, you’re guaranteed to have a memorable day.
“We have come a long way from humble beginnings and take tremendous satisfaction seeing beach polo played all over the world in front of enthusiastic and energetic crowds,” said Gabriella Katiela, tournament and event director.
“The event provides an opportunity for existing polo fans and those new to the sport to watch the polo players in a luxurious, premium environment that highlights the best of Dubai.
“While the Beach Polo Cup Dubai maintains the prestige of the sport, the event strips away the old, privileged perception of polo in our luxury lifestyle concept that appeals to a younger and social crowd.
“The spectators are in for a sporting master-class watching the players and their agile ponies fight it out on the Dubai sands – the standard of beach polo seen here is equal or superior to that seen anywhere in the world.”
The action begins at 17:00 on Friday kicking off with an opening ceremony, with the matches starting an hour later.
Saturday’s matches begin at 17:00, and the day will conclude with a ceremony and fireworks display.
