Submissions set to open for UAE Teen Sports & Fitness Awards

  • Under the Patronage of Dr Abdulla Al Karam, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director General of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, the UAE Teen Sports & Fitness Awards 2017 opens for submissions via the Awards website on 17th January www.teenawards.ae.

    The Awards celebrate the excellent sporting and fitness achievements of youth in the UAE. They recognise schools, academies, clubs, and sports federations as well as the dedication of individual coaches and students.

    They also award event organizers, facilities and organisations supporting youth sport through sponsorship.

    The Awards cover all sports and fitness activities across all nationalities. They also feature specific categories for UAE nationals, clubs and schools as well as the wider community.

    World class facilities in the UAE as well as high standards of coaching, enables students to develop into future stars of tomorrow.

    As well as elite athletes across a wide range of team and individual sports, there are many accessible pathways for all who would like to participate rather than compete. The UAE Teen Sports & Fitness Awards seeks to reflect the excellent standards in all areas of youth sports & fitness in the UAE.

    Within the UAE there are a high number of youth participating and competing across many different sports and fitness activities and they are all supported and encouraged by dedicated parents, teachers and coaches.

    The Awards showcase the achievements of individuals who have excelled and those who have helped others to achieve.

    The 2016 Awards were a huge success with over 600 entries, 396 finalists across all sports and fitness activities and 450 guests at the Awards gala dinner. The guests included representatives from UAE sports and education governing bodies as well as federations, schools, clubs, parents and students.

    Each entry will be judged by a knowledgeable and recognized panel of experts, led by Chairperson Apollo Perelini.

    Submissions close 15th March, with finalists being announced 18th March. The Awards gala dinner will take place on Friday 28th April at the stunning Arabian Ranches Golf Club.
