    MCLAREN CUP 2017 – DAY 1
    Starting Sunday, January 22 to Friday, February 3 (13-day event)

    The eighth McLaren Cup sees world-class polo action return to Dubai.

    As part of the Dubai Polo Gold Cup series, the McLaren Cup takes place at the Al Habtoor Polo Resort for its eight edition.

    The world-respected tournament promises to showcase the best of the sport, combined with top-notch entertainment featuring unmistakable DJs and stylish after-parties.

    The Gold Cup Series is only behind Argentina, the US and UK in size and is played under the Hurlingham Polo Association (HPA) banner.

    PAR 3 GOLF SERIES 2017 – EMIRATES GOLF CLUB
    Monday, 23 January

    The PAR 3 series is a challenge for all types of golfers, set in the heart of the iconic Emirates Golf Club.

    The tournament will be played over Monday evenings, with the average starting time around 6:30/7 pm – followed by a evening of socialising, drinks and some networking.

    The Event is open to all amateurs and professionals.

    ULTIMATE RACENIGHT ATHLETICS LEAGUE – RACE 3
    Thursday, 26 January

    The Ultimate Racenight League is an open series of six Race meets.

    It’s similar to the professional athletics’ Diamond League as athletes are allocated points based on their finishing position in each event.

    At the end of the league, the top three winners in each age group receive a Diamond from sponsors Saucony.

    The record holders in each event also receive medals (Age groups include: U-9, U-11, U-13, U-15, U-17 and Seniors.

    ASICS RUN SERIES – RACE 3
    Friday, 27 January

    ASICS and Go Sport team up for a community race equipped with loads of prizes.

    From novice to veteran, young or old, all passionate runners are more than welcome to take part in the ASICS Run Series. The community race is held across various distances on the closed off roads of Meydan.

    Participants who exceed in their age brackets will respectively acquire points after running the Track Golf Clubhouse loop. The lucky few who edge past their competition are guaranteed an array of prizes.

    Regardless of rankings, all participants have a shot at winning a dream trip to Thailand and relish their stay at the Thanyapura Sports Resort.

    PORSCHE GT3 CUP CHALLENGE MIDDLE EAST – ROUND 3 – DAY 1
    Friday, 27 January to Saturday, 28 January

    Attend the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge and watch in awe as talented, up-and-coming drivers from the Middle East showcase their motorsport prowess.

    The multi-round event begins at the Bahrain International Circuit before temporarily shifting eastwards to the UAE, where drivers will grace the Dubai Autodrome and Yas Marina Circuit tracks.

    The format is considered to be the most pure form of racing since competing drivers are restricted to the same model – Porsche 911 GT3. This race is perhaps the ultimate opportunity for prospective motor racers to propel themselves onto the grand stage and taste the professional motorsport environment.

    SANDSTORM DXB 5K AND 10K RACE

    CLIMB TO ABU DHABI

    Defying gravity, the vertical ascent up a city tower has literally taken the world by storm and Abu Dhabi is set to join the list of the world’s iconic towers.

    Originating in the late 70s, the sport of ‘Vertical Marathons’ (also called ‘Tower Running’) has now spread to every continent, with the UAE’s capital entering the arena.

    Under the initiative of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and hosted by the Etihad Towers, The Climb to Abu Dhabi will see the world’s best professionals and amateurs climb up 82 floors/1,617 steps.

    MEYDAN HORSE RACES – DAY 7

    Witness UAE racing action at Meydan Racecourse.

    Fun fact: the Meydan Racecourse grandstand is the world’s longest single structure, boasting an incredible reach of over a mile in length. It is capable of accommodating over 60,000 spectators and that’s exactly what the venue does for the Dubai World Cup each year.

    Before that, however, there is a season of racing to enjoy. Dubai is well known for it’s zeal for horse-racing given the success of the world renowned Godolphin stable, and each Thursday night from November onwards, Meydan will be hosting nights of horse racing for fans and newcomers alike to enjoy.

    ABU DHABI INVITATIONAL 2017 AT YAS LINKS

    THE COLOR RUN DOHA 2017
