Dubai residents and visitors are in for a magical circus experience at the “Circus on the River” festival, which is set to take place at Riverland Dubai, within Dubai Parks and Resorts, from November 16-18.
The festival will feature interactive circus acts, roaming entertainment acts, circus skills workshops and spectacular live shows.
Guests can enjoy the exciting line-up of events between 5:00-10:00pm on Thursday November 16 and between 2:00-10:00pm on Friday 17 and Saturday 18.
Visitors can look forward to special, gravity defying performances over the river by celebrity slackliner Mickey Wilson, a sky’s the limit Trick Trampoline Wall Show”, fire spitters, and accrobalance performers that will keep the audience on the edge of their seats.
International Celebrity slackliner Mickey Wilson, will be jetting in from the United States to headline the much-awaited circus extravaganza, and will be balancing his way atop the 4m high water slackline across the river.
Mickey Wilson shot to international stardom when he appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show after a video went viral of him using his slack line skills to rescue a friend from a chairlift on the ski slopes of Colorado.
Parents and kids can practise their circus skills with specially created workshops in juggling and stilt walking that are guaranteed to wow their friends and test the children’s balancing skills along with multiple face painting and makeover stations that tests their creativity.
They are also in for a special meet and great with the world’s most adored blue-coloured friends -Smurfette and Papa Smurf, and entertaining movie screenings of the Madagascar movies.
