  • Bicol baller: Action from win over Trifecta

Bicol Express-Filinvest used their speed to run over Trifecta 80-63 and chalk up their second straight win in McFearin Basketball Association Season 1.

Ritchell Sarabia led the Bicol onslaught with a double-double performance, scoring 22 points and grabbing 10 rebounds, followed by Edward Mortil and Jeff Manjares with 13 and 10 respectively, while playmaker Marlon Nogar, Richard Belano and Abe Liwanag added six markers each.

“We had a good start and my players maintained their focus to keep the game under control,” Bicol coach Vicente Berces said.

“We didn’t take a bad shot; we distributed the ball and waited until we had a better shot.”

Elsewhere, MyHD-GMA Pinoy TV sucked the air out of the undermanned St. Mary’s Angels 70-64.

Siblings Aries Jose and Tonton Pineda combined for a total of 40 points to lead their team with a six-point win.
