Chhabra’s excel for DPS Sharjah at CSBE Swimming Nations in India

  • Victorious team: The DPS Sharjah team were in terrific from at the weekend winning 18 medals at the CSBE Swimming Nations in India.

    DPS Swimmers secured four gold medals, five silver medals and seven bronze medals to top the UAE schools represented at the CSBE Swimming Nations held in India.

    Eehita Chhabra was the stand out performer of the weekend winning five medals in total for DPS Sharjah. She clinched two gold medals in the under-19 200m and 400m Individual medley events, and silver medals in the 200m, 400m and 800m freestyle categories.

    Another Chhabra also stole the headlines. Younger brother Tanish Chhabra competed in the boys under-12 section and claimed three medals – one gold medal, one silver medal and one bronze medal – in the 50m freestyle, 50m backstroke and 100m freestyle events respectively.

    Elsewhere, Aaraditta Sunder Iyer and Gagana M.G won medals in the girl’s under 14 years category.

    In the under-14 girls relay, Aaraditta Sunder Iyer and Gagana MG continued their impressive form when they teamed up with Anagha Venugopal and Gouthami Vinod to deliver bronze medals in the 4X100m freestyle relay and 4X100m medley relay respectively.

    Meanwhile in the under-12 girls category, Srishti Jacob and Aardhra Sundar secured a bronze medal each in the 50m backstroke and 50m breaststroke events.
