  • Experienced: Highly trained coaches will be at hand to guide the participants.

Elite Tennis Academy’s (ETA) new season (term one) begins on Saturday, September 6, and there’s some fantastic programmes lined up with registrations still open.

Since being established in 2004 by former UAE national coach Luis Miguel Reis, ETA has become one of the popular tennis academies in Dubai. Having opened their first centre in Jumeirah, ETA have another four branches at other exclusive venues – Atlantis The Palm, Emirates Golf Club, Waldorf Astora The Palm, and DIA in Emirates Hills, providing world class coaching at affordable rates.

If you’re looking to develop your game or learn new skills or have never played the sport, ETA has the programme for you.

Students can choose from private, semi-private or group classes which last one hour, while there is also the two-hour clinic sessions.

Adults will be taught advanced trained methods including cardio tennis while juniors will learn the basics of the sport as well as learning the technical, physical and tactical elements.

ETA director, Paulo Jose said those who do sign up will benefit from high-quality coaching. He said: “We teach at some of the most exclusive venues in the Middle East where nothing less than the best is expected, hence the coaches composing our team are highly certified with a vast wealth of experience and have been with us for a number of years, an important factor to consider in implementing an organised, balanced and comprehensive tennis programme.

“Whether you are looking at overall game improvement, keeping up with the game’s latest technical trends including footwork and tennis-specific conditioning, our specialist team will be at hand to guide you to the next level. We work with students of all levels ranging from beginners right up to the aspiring professional.”

And if you want to test yourself on the competitive stage, then why not sign up for the tournaments that ETA organises throughout the season? And corporates can also join the fun by taking part in the corporate tennis clinics, while holidays camps also are organised.

And Monika Schneider, head tennis professional at the Emirates Golf Club training centre, believes the players will be impressed with the venues.

The former top 20 ITF-ranked player, who runs the ladies clinics, said: “ We create a wonderful environment for students to learn and improve their game, but it’s not just about the tennis as the social aspect is also pertinent.

“There are many coffee shops and restaurants at our various locations to grab a bite or simply relax and enjoy a coffee amongst the beautiful settings whilst waiting for the kids to end their lesson.”
