  • Do you consider yourself to be a passionate, knowledgeable, die-hard football supporter?

Globe Soccer is giving you the opportunity to prove your credentials in their 2014 Fan of the Year Award. The winner recieves a trip to Dubai for next year's Globe Soccer Awards and with it the chance to rub shoulders with some of the biggest legends in football.

As part of December's Dubai International Sports Conference (DISC), Globe Soccer are staging the fourth edition of their Awards Gala Dinner – the Audi Football Night – on the second evening of the DISC.

Players, managers, agents and directors are all in contention for the prizes, but this year’s ceremony will, for the first time, see an award for the Fan of the Year.

Alarico Rossi of Italy is the winning fan after coming up with the most ethical slogan of 2012 – “Score is not the only goal."

Following the success of the Fan of the Year, Globe Soccer is once again looking for supporters across the world to put their name forward, this time to win a place at the 2014 event.

The competition is open to everyone, with the applicants required to answer a question about what would make their perfect stadium.

The concept of stadiums will be the primary focus of attention at next month's DISC and as such organisers are keen to hear the views of the very people that fill them; the fans.

The Globe Soccer website explains the rationale behind the question: “We more or less know what we require of a large popular stage, but listening to the people means we can look to the future or understand the dream of a generation which wants to be physically present and involved, or to watch something beautiful and engaging."

Globe Soccer want fans to be as creative as possible in their answers, from 24-hour stadiums to themed venues based around the city’s history; nothing is off limits.

Fans can submit their ideal stadium ideas to the website in a message of no more than 250 characters. The winner will receive a trip to Dubai and a place at the 2014 Audi Football Night.

Guests at the Awards ceremony in 2012 included Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, Argentine legend Diego Maradona, and Colombian superstar Radamel Falcao. This year, the event will be attended by Bayern Munich head coach Pep Guardiola, French midfield star Franck Ribery, and Russia coach Fabio Capello among others.

    Good luck!
