Defending champions AGL-Concord Group Palakkad Harvesters will open their CSS Group Kerala Premier League (KPL) title defence against Capital CMC Kochi Diwans on Friday, October 17.
Now in its third edition, a total of 37 matches will be played at the ICC Academy in Dubai, with the winners picking up Dh125,000 – the biggest prize money in the history of the competition. The runners-up will bag Dh60,000 for their efforts in the tournament, sanctioned by Dubai Sports Council.
The 12 teams have been split into two groups, with two of UAE’s leading domestic clubs, Danube Idduki Spices and last season’s runners-up Yogi Group Thrissur Dynamites, clashing in a Group A encounter on Friday, October 24.
In Group B, AGL-Concord Group Palakkad Harvesters will also have to face Seven Seas Trivandrum Royals and One Stop Tourism Kollam Kernals, as they bid to retain their title.
Each team will play five group matches with the top four qualifying for the quarter-final knock-out stages on Friday, November 14. The final is scheduled for Friday, November 21.
