UAE Team ready for the Pan Arabs Golf Championship in Cairo

    The UAE Juniors and Ladies National Golf Teams tee off in the Pan Arabs Golf Championship in Cairo, Egypt today.

    Three UAE teams make up the nine at the three day tournament.

    The under-18 Junior Golf Team will be represented by Abdulla Al Qubaisi, Ahmad Skaik and Saeed Al Balooshi.

    In the under-15 competition, the team consists of Mahmood Skaik, Khalil Kashwani and Mohammed S. Abdulla.

    Many of the young players who’ve travelled the competition in Cairo have been involved in the National Junior Development Program (NJDP) and will have an opportunity to showcase their talents this week.

    Rabab Al Haj will be representing the UAE in the Individual Category.

    With golf growing in the UAE, Al Haj’s presence is a major addition to the UAE National Golf Programme.

    The three round event ends on October 30th.

    The best two scores from each team will be tallied to give winners for top Gross and Net Scores. Players will also be playing for best Individual Gross and Net Scores. 

    The UAE Team will be accompanied by Khalid Mubarak Al Shamsi (Emirates Golf Federation Secretary General and UAE National Team Official), Adel Zarouni (Emirates Golf Federation Vice Chairman and UAE National Team Official), and Greg Holmes (UAE National Team Coach and PGA Professional).
