DPS Dubai will once again be calling on the batting prowess of Milind Dongre and Vivek Aditya while GMA will look to Swabhanu Khosla and Ronak Panoly, whose aggressive hitting has become a common feature of their team.

In the first semi-final DPS Dubai beat Indian High School Dubai by 61 runs with skipper Aryan Lakra making 33 off 32 balls. Dongre remained unbeaten on 44 off 33 balls while pervious century hero Kushal Chiluka was cheaply run out in the powerplay overs.

Wickets started to tumble courtesy of Rajansh G’s bagged three wickets for 11 runs and Harsh Bobade’s two scalps at the death. Dongre was awarded the MSG Player of the Match with Aditya and Agarwal sharing the MGS Promising Player of the match award.

GEMS Modern Academy recorded a destructive 137-run victory over Cambridge International School with skipper Swabanu Khosla’s stand out innings of 66 runs off 38 powering them to a total of 195 in 20 overs.

Varun Nayanar contributed with 30 off 13 balls and Ronak Panoly notched 28 runs. Left arm spinner Raunak Pandey of Cambridge International Schools was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets for 36 runs.

Cambridge International School’s batsmen felt the heat from ball one as wickets kept fell at an alarming rate. Ahaan Fernandes scored 27 off 18 balls to provide some respite, but failure from the rest of the batsmen saw them bundled out just 58 off 14.1 overs.

Varun Ravi took three wickets for four runs but Shivam Ghosh stole the limelight by claiming a hat-trick, giving away just seven runs. Swabhanu Khosla was unanimously awarded the MSG Player of the Match while Shivam Ghosh and Rahul Nambiar received the MSG Promising player of the match.
