Defending Order of Merit Champion Callum Nicoll won the latest UAE PGA event at the Address Montgomerie Dubai with a blistering round of eightunder par 64.

It was a massive nine-shot victory for the The Els Club Dubai pro, with Gavin Sunderland (Al Badia Golf Club), David Grey (DG Golf) and Cennydd Mills (Dubai Creek), all finishing well adrift in second place after shooting one-over par 73s.

Nicoll’s round included nine birdies and a solitary bogey in equally blistering heat. His birdies came on the first, third, fourth, sixth, seventh, ninth, 12th, 17th and 18th holes.

Prior to the Montgomerie event, Joe Marshall of Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club claimed the RAK PGA Open and took an early lead in the Order of Merit with an excellent round of 67 at Tower Links Golf Club.
