Spanish marksman Diego Costa limbers up in training

It’s a massive day of World Cup action in Russia with four matches scheduled.

Two of those matches, kicking off at 22:oo (UAE time) will sort out the myriad of permutations in Group B – Spain v Morocco in Kaliningrad and Iran v Portugal in Saransk.

At the moment Spain and Portugal lead the group on 4 points with Iran just one point back on 3. With the Group so tight even a one-goal loss for Spain and a one-goal win for Iran would see the mighty La Roja heading for home.

Check out all the key stats in our jam-packed stat attack below.

England fans are enjoying life in Novgorod

Before the World Cup in Russia began many were worried about the success of the tournament with concerns about crowd violence, racism and the friendliness of the locals high on the list.

But although we are less than two weeks into the tournament everything to date has gone far better than many expected and we seem on track for a very successful tournament – one and off the field.

We caught up with some Panama and England fans in sunny Nizhny Novgorod ahead of Sunday’s big clash and they all agreed on the same thing – the World Cup in Russia is a great place to be.

Senegal make training look like a lot of fun

Senegal have lit up the World Cup with their skill on the field after a sparkling 2-1 win over Poland in their opening game.

But now the Lions of Teranga are also enlivening training sessions with some sweet dancing feet – as our video shows below – and make sure to turn the sound up as the dance is accompanied by a smooth chant as well.

The Senegal fans are also keeping everyone entertained off the field with their vibrant support for their team – as well as cleaning the stadium up before they leave.

The west African nation are certainly having a great World Cup so far. Let’s hope it continues.
