Cristiano Ronaldo‘s missed penalty against Iran cost Portugal a top-place finish in Group B on Monday.

Fernando Santos‘ men will now face Uruguay in the round of 16 stage of the tournament on June 30.

Here, we take a look at all the goals in animation from the game.

After exchanging a one-two on the left side of the pitch, Quaresma unleashed a stunning outside of the boot shot that ended in the top right corner, giving Portugal a 1-0 lead.

Cedric Soares was guilty of a handball and Iran were awarded a penalty in the closing stages of the contest. Karim Ansarifard took his time and place the ball in the left top corner, to make it 1-1. Unfortunately for Iran, there wasn’t any time left to find a winner.

Spain’s intense 2-2 draw against Morocco on Monday saw them qualify for the World Cup‘s knockout stages as group leaders.

Fernando Hierro‘s men will now face Russia in the round of 16 on July 1.

And while they might be among the favourites, they were made to work hard against the Atlas Lions.

Here we take a look at all the goals from their final Group B game.

A mix-up between Andres Iniesta and Sergio Ramos set Morocco striker Khalid Bouatib away in open space, and he didn’t miss the chance to put his team ahead – firing through the legs of David De Gea.

Spain replied almost instantly with Iniesta making a run into the Moroccan box and then cutting back a pass to Isco, who was at hand to provide a smart finish.

Youssef En Nesyri jumped highest during the corner in the 81st minute and headed in a goal that put Morocco in a position to seal an historic victory against Spain. It wasn’t meant to be though.

The injury-time goal was ruled out at first by the referee, due to offside, but later given after VAR was consulted – substitute Iago Aspas scoring audaciously with his heel.

Belgium celebrate like they have won the World Cup

Belgium have been having plenty of fun on the field with opening wins over Panama and Tunisia but it looks like they are having a lot of fun off the field as well as our video below shows.

The header challenge has become famous since Marcello’s son Enzo completed the challenge with the Real Madrid team in their dressing room back in May.

The Red Devils’ challenge is less impressive but you certainly wouldn’t know from the celebrations.

Belgium’s next match is the decider in Group G against England in Kaliningrad on Thursday night at 22:00 (UAE Time).
