  • Adnan Januzaj scoring the winner for Belgium against England

Depending on how you looked at it – it was a game with nothing riding on it or an awful lot.

Both Belgium and England had already qualified for the knockout stages of the World Cup in Russia so when the two sides met in Kaliningrad in their final match in Group G on Thursday night, all that had to be decided was who each team would play in the round of 16.

The winner of the match would come up against the lower ranked Japan in the round of 16 but then would likely face Brazil in the quarter-finals, while the loser would come up against the tricky Colombia but then face the relatively easier winner of Sweden and Switzerland in the final eight.

So you can see why everyone was so confused after the match. Check out our video below for all the reaction.
