The most anticipated fixture in Middle Eastern and North African football has never been played outside Egypt until Al Ahly and Al Zamalek faced off in the UAE last year.
Known as the Egyptian/Arab Clásico, this year’s match will again come to the UAE, takig place inside the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, presently used by Al Jazira.
Zamalek lost the cup last year at the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain and will undoubtedly want to exact revenge inside the UAE’s second largest stadium. The venue is expected to be packed with 35,000 roaring fans from across the MENA region eager to observe.
