More than 350 judokas hailing from an estimated 30 countries are expected to flock to Abu Dhabi’s IPIC Arena for the IJF Judo Grand Slam.
After the UAE’s successful showing at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, the IJF committee decided to host the World Judo Grand Slam Tour at Zayed Sports City.
The UAE is no stranger to hosting events related to the martial art, boasting multiple previous Grand Slam editions as well as anchoring the Junior World Championships a year ago.
