Men's winners in the 2016 BWF Superseries

The BWF World Superseries, launched in 2007, is a 12-tournament series where the world’s best shuttlers lock horns to reach the top eight Destination Dubai rankings and claim a place in the Dubai World Superseries finals in December.

Held under the patronage of His Highness, Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, crown Prince of Dubai and chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, the Dubai World Superseries returns to the Hamdan Sports Complex in December 2016.

Lin Dan proved why he is the best player on the planet after claiming his sixth Yonex All England Open Badminton title by defeating his Chinese compatriot Tian Houwei in a convincing 21-9, 21-10 win.

Runners-up – Viktor Axelsen(Denmark)

Japan’s Kento Momota won his inaugural India Open title after seeing off Denmark’s Viktor Axelsen (21-15, 21-18) in a close fought final.
