Jose Mourinho prides himself on instilling a high work rate among all his players. Or so we thought.

As it so happens, his Manchester United side covers the least ground among all Premier League sides, according to stats for distance covered so far this season reported by Sky Sports.

Of course, that doesn’t mean much – they’re still second in the league, while the side that covers the most distance, Bournemouth, is 17th, only one point above the relegation zone.

Along with United, the other top six side that doesn’t crack the top 10 in this list is Liverpool, which, given their intense pressing style, is somewhat of a surprise. The Reds are in 11th, just below a side with a similar playing style, Huddersfield.
