Indian spin duo Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja are the top two-ranked bowlers in the world after the latest update of the ICC Test Rankings.

Ashiwn, who has been at the number one position for a while now, has lost a few points after picking up just one wicket in the Chennai Test against England but continues to remain at the top.

Jadeja, on the other hand, produced his career-best performance with the ball on Tuesday. With the fifth Test looking all set to end in a draw, the Saurashtra left-arm spinner bowled an astonishing spell – picking up figures of 7/48.

Only once before have two Indian bowlers occupied the top two spots and that was way back in 1974 when Bishan Singh Bedi and leg-spinner Bhagwath Chandrasekhar were at the peak of their powers.

England fast bowlers James Anderson and Stuart Broad have dropped to fifth and eighth respectively, while Australian spearhead Mitchell Starc has climbed two spots to sixth.
