The 10th edition of the Mubadala Community Cup (MCC) came to a close with exciting finals in Abu Dhabi and Dubai last weekend, with winners of the 10-and-under and adults mixed doubles categories claiming exclusive spots in the star player clinics at this month’s Mubadala World Tennis Championship (MWTC).
Designed to showcase the best amateur players in the region, the MCC showcased some great talent and thrilling competition across both divisions, with champions getting a dream opportunity of sharing a court with the likes of Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Stan Wawrinka, Dominic Thiem, Milos Raonic and Pablo Carreno Busta, who will all be in Abu Dhabi from December 28-30 for the MWTC at Zayed Sports City.
Anurag Reddy, who won the 14-and-under boys’ category, is already showing great potential in the sport after going through the Mubadala Tennis in Schools programme and winning the MCC in previous years.
