A highly entertaining Club World Cup saw Real Madrid emerge victorious over Kashima Antlers on Sunday thanks to a 4-2 victory after extra-time.
A hat-trick from Cristiano Ronaldo secured the win on the night after Karim Benzema opened the scoring at the International Stadium Yokohama, seeing them crowned as 2016’s best team across the continents.
Earlier in the tournament, Kashima Antlers surprised many by becoming the first AFC representative to reach the final, doing so by playing the most matches after entering the first round as a host nation representative.
