On Saturday, The Color Run presented by Daman’s Activelife returned to Dubai with another record-breaking turnout.

Celebrating its 5th year in the UAE, runners donned their most colorful outfits and ran, danced and skipped their way through the Happiest 5k on the Planet.

This year, Color Runners were invited to ‘Dream in Color’ and experience the all new Foam Zone, which proved to be a huge hit.

Elsewhere on the course, Color Runners were covered from head to toe in an array of brand new colors in more Color Zones than ever before along the 5k route.

An incredible day out for the entire family, friends and colleagues, Color Runners showed their aspirations on the brand new Dream Wall as well. The event culminated with the ultimate color party at the Finish Festival and the famous color throws!

Greg Sproule, Managing Director of IMG Middle East said: “We are thrilled with another huge turnout for the Color Run presented by Daman’s ActiveLife this year, marking our 5th year in the UAE. The new Foam Zone and Dream Wall were a great addition to the experience and together with all the Color Zones, we created a truly magical 5k run.”

Since its inception in 2012, The Color Run has become a global phenomenon and is now the largest running series in the world. Continuing to innovate the Happiest 5k on the Planet genre each year, The Color Run has been experienced by over six million people worldwide in 35+ countries and has donated a staggering $5 million dollars to charity to date.

In keeping with the event’s community focus, $1 from every entry at The Color Run presented by Daman’s Activelife was donated to Friends of Cancer Patients through the Just Giving platform.

Dubai Fitness Challenge transformed Burj Park into an outdoor gym this weekend with mobile fitness units equipped to provide Dubai’s residents and visitors an incredible range of workout options out in the open with the tallest building in the world as their view.

A wonderland for fitness enthusiasts, the venue was abuzz with people sweating it out on the various rowing machines, weight equipment’s, parkour training facilities and dedicated play and fitness zones spread across the park.

The Burj Park weekend saw the ladies give it their all on the special ladies only day during the 3-day carnival, with exclusive access to the full range of equipment, facilities, training sessions, expert fitness trainers and physio services.

In addition to the dedicated day for ladies, participants also took part in a host of free fitness sessions including Super Abs, Zumba, Body Pump, Grit Cardio and more. Mothers with kids in tow took advantage of the children’s play and fitness zones, ensuring their little ones are fully taken care of while they focus on their own 30×30 goals.

30 days of fitness: The Dubai Fitness Challenge.

Gearing up for the final weekend at Dubai Festival City on November 17 and 18, guests are encouraged to make the most of the final 6 days of free fitness classes and host of activations across the city.

World champion heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua will take center stage at the closing ceremony of the Dubai Fitness Challenge along with other sporting and fitness experts to celebrate the success of the Dubai’s first city-wide fitness movement. The event will also feature the much-awaited Dubai Fitness Challenge closing ceremony featuring a breath-taking water and light show and massive firework display.

Dubai Fitness Challenge has been created to motivate Dubai’s citizens, residents and visitors to boost their physical activity and commit to 30 minutes of daily activity for 30 days.

Running until November 18, the Challenge encompasses all forms of activity – from beach cricket, cycling, football to paddle-boarding, team sports, walking and yoga and everything in between. Participants can track their performance and their contribution to the city on the DFC app.

DUBAI FITNESS CHALLENGE

Thousands of people descended on Burj Park Friday to mark the final weekend of the 30-day Dubai Fitness Challenge.

The challenge encourages residents to embrace a healthier lifestyle by taking part in daily exercise and trying out new activities and makes Dubai one of the most active cities in the world.

DUBAI INTERNATIONAL TRIATHLON

The fourth Dubai International Triathlon took place on Friday with a sold-out crowd taking part at Jebel Ali.

The event featured a gurelling 1.5 kilometre swim followed by a 80 mile bike ride and a 10km run.

XDUBAI SPARTAN RACE, HATTA

The Spartan Race is one of the UAE’s most popular fitness events, testing participants’ physical strength, mental resilience, teamwork and overall fitness.

Taking place in Hatta, the adrenaline-pumping obstacle course was the perfect challenge for participants to test their inner warrior.
