This morning, India have won the 2016 Asia Cup with a stunning victory over Bangladesh.

The final was reduced to 15 overs for each side after a two-hour rain delay but India were the ones who didn’t let anything affect their performance.

Winning the match by eight wickets, India hit 122-2. The victory lit up social media with India’s fans worldwide celebrating the win.

In the Premier League, Manchester United have suffered a 1-0 loss to West Brom. Mata was sent off within 30 minutes of the game beginning. Liverpool however, scored a stoppage time penalty to take all three points away from Crystal Palace.


Al Ain are now within a point of Arabian Gulf League leaders, Al Ahli after victory over rivals Al Jazira. It was Douglas who scored all three of Al Ain’s goals in their 3-1 win.

This morning, Leicester City have won again, this time at Watford, to take advantage of both Tottenham and Arsenal dropping points.

The north London derby ended in a 2-2 draw which meant neither side could stay within reach of leaders, Leicester. A second half goal for the Foxes meant they extended their league lead to five points with ten games remaining.

Real Madrid have found their scoring touch again and have put seven past Celta in La Liga.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who was being jeered by certain sections of the home crowd following his comments about his team-mates after last week’s loss to Atletico, scored four times.


Gareth Bale was also on the score sheet on his return from injury.








Rory McIlroy has found some form in the lead up to the Masters as he leads the Cadilac Championship by three shots at Doral.


The world number three hit a 4-under 68 to lead defending champion Dustin Johnson and Adam Scott by three shots going into today’s final round.

This morning, three of the top four in the English Premier League lost last night enabling Leicester City to maintain their three-point advantage.

Tottenham could have gone top with a win against West Ham, but were unable to find the net in a frustrating night for Leicester’s title rivals.

Arsenal too suffered defeat as they looked to keep the pressure on at the top of the league, but a second Premier League defeat in a row means their season is starting to stumble.

Manchester City, playing Liverpool for the second time this week after the League Cup final at Wembley also were unable to grab a league win as they lost 3-0 at Anfield, giving Liverpool some consolation for missing out on the League Cup trophy.


In Europe, Real Madrid got back to winning ways with a win against Levante but remain nine points behind Barcelona whilst PSG progressed to the French cup semi-final as they hunt down a second consecutive French treble.








Bayern Munich lost in Germany and Juventus crashed to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Inter Milan, although it finished 3-3 on aggregate and Juventus made the Coppa Italia final on penalties.
