  • Warm welcome: Thousands of fans turned out to watch Bayern train.

    Thousands of fans packed into Providence Park in Portland on Tuesday to watch an open training session by German champions Bayern Munich, on the eve of the Major League Soccer (MLS) All-Star Game at the home of the Portland Timbers. 

    Pep Guardiola's side will play the MLS All-Stars in the 19th edition of the mid-season break showpiece game, following Manchester United, Chelsea and Roma in recent years as guests of the MLS.

    During training, Munich midfielder Javier Martinez expressed his excitement ahead of the match.
