Cristiano Ronaldo takes us on a trip down memory lane as part of Nike’s latest promotional campaign for their CR7 Chapter 3: Discovery boots in honour of Ronaldo’s upbringing and rise to super stardom.
Ronaldo was born in Santo Antonio, a neighbourhood of Funchal, Madeira, but he subsequently moved to Alcochete, near Lisbon, to join Sporting CP at the club’s football academy.
By the time he was 14, Ronaldo believed he had the ability to play semi-professionally, and agreed with his mother to cease his education in order to focus entirely on football.
The rest is, as they say, history…
