Michel Salgado hardly hit the back of the net, let alone in spectacular fashion. However, the former Spanish international’s son, Michel Salgado Jr, is certainly capable.

While representing Celta de Vigo under-12s in a game against Real Madrid, Salgado Jr. did not miss an opportunity to showcase his talent and ability.

He scored a fantastic free-kick in the 13th minute of the first-half to give his team a 1-0 lead. Salgado Jr meanwhile, has also played at Dubai Spanish Soccer Schools where dad Michel is working as a Director.

His father, known for being a part of the Galacticos Real Madrid team in his era, will be proud of his son’s latest exploits, even if it came against his former club?

IN PICS: How Real Madrid won the Club World Cup

A highly entertaining Club World Cup saw Real Madrid emerge victorious over Kashima Antlers on Sunday thanks to a 4-2 victory after extra-time.

A hat-trick from Cristiano Ronaldo secured the win on the night after Karim Benzema opened the scoring at the International Stadium Yokohama, seeing them crowned as 2016’s best team across the continents.

Earlier in the tournament, Kashima Antlers surprised many by becoming the first AFC representative to reach the final, doing so by playing the most matches after entering the first round as a host nation representative.

Real Madrid eased their way to the final with victory over Club America at the semi-final stage while it was a disappointing competition for Auckland City, Mamelodi Sundowns and Atletico Nacional as they exited after just the one game apiece.

However, they were made to struggle at the final hurdle with a Gaku Shibasaki brace forcing the final into extra-time.

Who was your player of the tournament and who do you think will be vying for the title next year?

Frenchman Benzema opened the scoring in added time at the end of the first-half after latching onto a Toni Kroos pass.

Ronaldo, who on another day could have had a hat-trick, then doubled Real’s advantage in second-half injury time at the International Stadium Yokohama.

Zinedine Zidane’s men will now play Kashima Antlers in the final on Sunday (December 18).
