Former Argentine footballer Diego Maradona received a private audience with Pope Francis at the Vatican.
The meeting between Pope Francis and the former soccer star and his staff lasted about 15 minutes.
Maradona, who led Argentina to World Cup victory in 1986, hugged the Pope and said to him "I love you".
