When Jose Mourinho was first unveiled as Manchester United manager, there were surprisingly no grand proclamations. No calling himself “The Special One” like he had in his first-ever press conference in England, and no claims of now being the “Happy One” when he returned to Chelsea in 2013.
But Mourinho is Mourinho, the man who plays the media like his own instrument, sending messages to his rivals, and sometimes, his own players or even board.
