The 32-year-old carded a final round 69 to finish on 15-under par, two shots behind winner Tommy Fleetwood.
The German said: “I made a couple of mistakes yesterday and today and unfortunately only finished second or third, which is still a great result, but obviously coming here, almost my second home on the European Tour, the expectations are a little higher.”
