  • England’s Keaton Jennings made a name for himself with a brilliant century on his Test debut against India at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday.

In the process, he became the 19th English batsman and the eighth English opener to reach the landmark on debut.

Back in 2011, Keaton spent some time with the IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), the team which was then coached by his father Ray Jennings.

In this video, Keaton interestingly talks about being the South Africa U-19 captain and the academy set-up. Born in Johannesburg, he has completed the four-year qualification period to play for England.

Virat Kohli, who is the opposition captain on Keaton’s Test debut, was part of the RCB squad in 2011 and is currently the skipper of the Bengaluru-based IPL team.
