Misbah frustrated by politics influencing cricket

  • Speaking ahead of the second Test match in Dubai, Misbah-ul-Haq answered questions about his thoughts on the current state of cricket in India and the growing tensions around the sport in the country.

    With umpires flying back from India due to safety concerns and a potential series between Pakistan and their most fierce rivals in limbo, Misbah bemoaned the influence of politics on the sport.

    Misbah also expressed his disappointment in the recent cancellation of the series between Bangladesh and Australia.

    The Pakistan captain went on to explain that no cricketer wants to be told he cannot play somewhere in the world and poored water on suggestions that Pakistan would pull out of the upcoming World T20 in Pakistan.
