  • England captain Alastair Cook speaks to media ahead of the second Test against Pakistan in Dubai, warning the hosts he is ready to compile yet another big score.

Having led his side to the brink of victory in Abu Dhabi with a marathon 263, Cook believes he's in the right touch to score heavily once again.

The visitors came desperately close to a famous win in the first Test and Cook's side are expected to be unchanged going into the second of the three Test series.

All-rounder Ben Stokes had been suffering with a stomach bug but was back in training on Wednesday as England took to the nets at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

With Yashir Shah returning to the fold for Pakistan, Cook and his charges will need to be at their best if they are to secure the win and take the lead in the series.
