  • Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Simona Halep, Maria Sharapova and Caroline Wozniacki preview the US Open, which begins on Monday.

    – #360view: Serena seven matches from tennis divinity
    – INTERVIEW: Rafa Nadal spotlight burns bright in NYC

DJOKOVIC ON LOSING TO FEDERER IN CINCINNATI: "Well, I wouldn't say it was a surprise. I mean the way he has played he deserved to win. I didn't play on my level so I was looking forward to have a week before the US Open starts to work on certain aspects of my game and improve and get myself in a position to start the US Open well. So that's what I'm hoping for. I've had many matches in the past couple of weeks, this is one of the best seasons in my life beside 2011 and i also have an opportunity to win three out of four Grand Slams which of course gives me an extra motivation."

FEDERER ON CONFIDENCE LEVELS: "It's great, you know very high, I don't think it could be any higher. You don't quite know until you're hitting your best shots in a match… or on the biggest points during the tournament so we'll see how it goes. But the thing is you've also got to build it up again from scratch. It's round one, I've got a very tough opponent in Leonardo Mayer so I'm really not going to get ahead of myself. I should have lost against him in shanghai. I got so lucky. It was probably one of the luckiest matches ever…"

NADAL ON CURRENT FORM: "I'm happy with the way I'm playing now and I'm happy with the way that I'm working so this is the moment to be patient and to wait for my moment and I believe that my moment is going to arrive again."

HALEP ON FACING SERENA WILLIAMS: "I'm just trying to stay focused on every match because every match is difficult here, the pressure is on. So I play well actually when I have the pressure…"

SHARAPOVA ON RECENT INJURY: "Of course it's always unfortunate to have to miss a few tournaments coming into the US Open. I haven't played a match since Wimbledon but I think it's really about managing my expectations, trying to get the rest off in the beginning."

WOZNIACKI ON FORM: "I'm feeling good now. you know, last week was good. My body is feeling good again so I'm excited to be here and playing at the US Open obviously…."
