Amy Chmelecki, Marco Fürst and Marco Waltenspiel are some of the best skydivers of their generation and they joined up to pull off a heartwarming feat to help celebrate Valentine’s Day.

The trio travelled to the heart of Croatia, so they could take to the air above the postcard perfect island of Galešnjak.

Why? Well, it is known as the Island of Love because of its heart shape and they wanted to be the Cupid’s arrow in this particular stunt.

It comes as no surprise to discover that the island’s owner gets bombarded with requests for people to marry on this idyllic retreat dotted with olive trees in the Pašman channel of the Adriatic Sea.

Due to the fast changing winter weather, they only had a small window of time to achieve their aim when the famous local bura wind chased away the clouds.

Red Bull Skydive Team member Waltenspiel explained, “It was cold, and the wind was strong, but it was an awesome day without a cloud in the sky.

“What an incredible flight over this beautiful scenery, with so many small islands circling the heart-shaped beauty.”

Chmelecki, a veteran of over 16,000 skydives, sadly lost her luggage en route meaning she had to borrow equipment from local skydivers.

She revealed, “One of my favorite things to do in this world is to fly over beautiful places, so this project was extremely special to me!

“Croatia was everything I dreamt it would be. We were very lucky with the weather conditions, but the hard part was the equipment I was not familiar with, especially because the landing area was a difficult one.

“In the end, everything worked out great! The equipment lent to me was easy to manage and the local crew even packed my parachute for me!

“After all, what better way to spend a day than jumping over lovely islands with your friends and teammates.”
