    RACING AT MEYDAN

    Thursday, November 23

    In the lead-up to the prestigious Dubai World Cup in March, the Meydan Racing season continues on Thursday.

    You can take in the action from the Grandstand and many other seated options at the spectacular venue. What better way to kick-off your weekend!

    The second week of racing continues at Meydan in the lead up to the Dubai World Cup.

    2XU TRIATHLON CHAMPIONSHIPS: HATTA
    Friday, November 24

    This is without doubt one of the most scenic triathlons on offer in the UAE – but it’s also one of the toughest. Competitors will swim in the Hatta Dam, bike through Generator Hill and run the steepest inclines, taking in natural scenery.

    JEBEL HAFEET CHALLENGE
    Friday, November 24

    Cyclists will scale 1,240 metres to climb to the top of the UAE’s highest peak (12.5kms in total).

    The race, which begins at 6AM, starts at Green Mubazarrah Park – situated at the base of the mountain – and runs up Jebel Hafeet Road and all the way to the summit.

    Water stations will be available every 2kms as riders cycle on the hard shoulder of the winding road.

    Shuttles transport participants to and from the starting and finishing points, with a post-race presentation being held at the Mercure Hotel.

    ARABIAN GULF LEAGUE: AL NASR VS SHABAB AL AHLI
    Friday, November 24

    Italian Cesare Prandelli, who is now managing Al Wasl, will be hoping his team can claim all three points at home to Shabab Al Ahli in the AGL.

    The two sides will clash at the Zabeel Stadium at 7.45pm on Friday night with the hosts in fifth place in the table, and the away side one spot ahead in fourth.

    ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX
    Sunday, November 26

    Friday (November 24) brings the practice sessions as drivers compete to set the pace at Yas Marina Circuit ahead of Saturday’s qualifying session and Sunday’s race.

    The Grand Prix is one of the standout sporting experiences of the year with plenty to keep attendees entertained both on and off the track – from the thrill of Ferrari World to the concerts at Yas Arena.

    Whoever wins the race, the Abu Dhabi atmosphere always provides the perfect setting for the end of the Formula One season.
