Warwickshire and England batsman Ian Bell is looking forward to captaining the MCC in this year’s Emirates Airline T20 as he gears up for the new domestic season on home soil.
Bell will lead the Home of Cricket’s team against Yorkshire, Lancashire and the UAE in this weekend’s T20 extravaganza at the 7he Sevens Stadium in Dubai.
“I’m really excited and to be part of the MCC team as well is really nice. We’ve got a good side and we’re getting ready to be part of a really good day,” the 33-year-old, who has played 118 Tests for England, told Sport360.com.

“I’ve spoken to quite a few people who live out here and they really enjoy the day. I know the guys from Lancashire and Yorkshire and they’re looking forward to it as well. It’s an exciting day of cricket and we’re obviously gearing up for a good season at home and it’s nice to be part of this as well – getting yourself ready for a season in a tournament like this.”
