Amanda Nunes is ready to make another statement next week.
The 28-year-old defends her title for the first time against Ronda Rousey at UFC 207.
Nunes is also the current UFC women’s bantamweight champion, who decimated former champion Miesha Tate to capture the UFC 135lb title in the main event of UFC 200.
Interestingly, she did it faster than Rousey managed against Tate on both occasions they met previously.
The Brazilian has a dangerous mix of powerful striking and top-drawer submission skills in her arsenal, and used both to devastating effect against Tate, destroying her with a powerful set of strikes as she beat her opponent down to the mat.
After over a year out of action, Ronda Rousey is set to make her return at UFC 207 on Decmber 30.
The American will lock horns against Amanda Nunes for the Bantamweight title.
Who do you think will win?
The Gracie Brothers breakdown the tale of the tape in Rounda’s fight against Liz Carmouche at UFC 157 in 2013 and what technique she used to get herself out of some tough situations during the match.
Ronda’s amazing defense of the rear naked choke that was applied by Carmouche is spectacular to watch, her opponent was on her back attempting to lock in the choke hold.
However, Rousey with her stout technique and mechanics escaped and locked Liz in with her famous arm bar finish and made her tap out.
UFC 207 on December 30th is upon us with Rousey’s long-awaited return since her devastating loss to Holly Holmes in UFC 197.
“Rowdy” Ronda will be going up against Brazilian star Amanda Nunes on the main card.
