There was something all a little odd about Nia Jax and Ronda Rousey’s segment on RAW this week.
Things between the two had all been pretty amicable since their title match at Money in the Bank was announced, but started to go downhill at their contract signing last week – no surprise there.
Since her feud with Alexa Bliss, Jax has been relishing the face role and has been flourishing in it. Now it feels like that tide is turning.
She took the opportunity of a squash match to describe in detail to Rousey, who was sat on commentary, how she’d be able to counter an armbar – and also crush the former UFC star’s chest with a series of high-impact moves. Spare a thought for the poor jobber in all this.
When Jax invited Rousey down to the ring, things got a little weird. As you can see here.
As we head towards Money in the Bank we are seeing more and more of the Ladder Match combatants.
As with last week, we saw Finn Balor take on Braun Strowman.
Now, Finn has been one of the red brand’s hottest properties for some time – bringing out stellar match after stellar match, going right back to his impressive stint in the Royal Rumble.
Strowman is a one-man wrecking machine who has been laying a trail of destruction since before his win at the Greatest Royal Rumble.
Everything between now and MITB has the air of setup play, but the two still managed to entertain on RAW this week.
Balor looked to be getting the better of the Monster Among Men, but enter Kevin Owens.
You can see what went down here.
The B Team have been on something of a tear of late.
By ‘tear’ we mean they are 2-0 after going out on their own following the departure of The Miz to Smackdown.
To celebrate Dallas and Axel decided to throw their competition in the RAW Tag Team division a little Memorial Day BBQ on RAW, whilst announcing themselves as the next in line for a shot at Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt.
It didn’t quite go to plan, as you can see here
