  • Wanted man: Ibrahima Toure.

Emirates Club are contemplating whether to rescue AWOL striker Ibrahima Toure from the Al Nasr wilderness, according to reports.

Toure, 29, has fallen foul of the Blue Wave management after he was absent for pre-season training for a second-successive summer.

The President’s Cup and Arabian Gulf Cup holders are planning to play the season without the 2014/15 Arabian Gulf League’s second-top scorer, Brazil international Nilmar taking his place in the four-player foreign quota and fellow new boy Jonathan Pitroipa inheriting his No11 jersey.

Al Ittihad have stated the Falcons are interested in acquiring the out-of-favour player, a one-season loan switch in the offing.

Negotiations could be made easier by the fact the two clubs regularly conduct transfer business, former captain Brett Holman and veteran defender Helal Saeed moving to Ras Al Khaimah from Al Maktoum Stadium this summer alone.

    – Al Nasr: Pitroipa joins the Blue Wave on 2-year deal
    – AGL: Clubs yet to receive confirmation of league delay
    – AGL: Al Shaab pounce to sign Egypt midfielder Amr Al Sulaya

Emirates have one non-Emirati space remaining, Holman being joined by Brazilian forward Rodrigo Pimpao and retained Morocco defender Issam Erraki.

An exit for Toure would end an eventful two-year spell since his arrival from Monaco in which he has registered an impressive 34 goals in 43 top-flight games.

But his time has been sullied by disciplinary problems, including two training camp no-shows and a violent assault on Bani Yas’
Mohamed Jaber which brought a four-match ban in September 2014.
