    TEAM NEWS, SQUADS, PREDICTED XIs

SRH SQUAD: David Warner (c), Shikhar Dhawan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Moises Henriques, Mustafizur Rahman, Naman Ojha, Deepak Hooda, Ricky Bhui, Kane Williamson, Siddarth Kaul, Bipul Sharma, Ashish Nehra, Yuvraj Singh, Ben Cutting, Barinder Sran, Abhimanyu Mithun, Vijay Shankar, Tanmay Agarwal, Mohammad Nabi, Ekalavya Dwivedi, Rashid Khan, Pravin Tambe, Chris Jordan, Ben Laughlin, Mohammed Siraj.

Hyderabad had a dream start to their IPL 10 campaign, beating injury-hit Royal Challengers Bangalore by 35-runs in the season opener.

Yuvraj Singh’s return to form is the best news for Hyderabad, adding more depth to their batting. Along with David Warner, Shikhar Dhawan and Moises Henriques, the Indian icon’s finishing skills make it a formidable batting side.

The bowling of Hyderabad has always been good and it looks the same this time around as well, with Afghanistan cricketer Rashid Khan also contributing in the spin department.

Ashish Nehra, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Ben Cutting all offer pace and can trouble most batsmen.

PREDICTED SRH XI:  Warner (c), Dhawan, Henriques, Yuvraj, Ojha (wk), Hooda, Bipul, Cutting, Rashid, Bhuvneshwar, Nehra.

    GL SQUAD:

Suresh Raina (C), Akshdeep Nath, Shubham Agarwal, Basil Thampi, Dwayne Bravo, Chirag Suri, James Faulkner, Aaron Finch, Manpreet Gony, Ishan Kishan, Ravindra Jadeja, Shadab Jakati, Dinesh Karthik (W), Shivil Kaushik, Dhawal Kulkarni, Praveen Kumar, Brendon McCullum, Munaf Patel, Pratham Singh, Jason Roy, Pradeep Sangwan, Jaydev Shah, Shelley Shaurya, Nathu Singh, Dwayne Smith, Tejas Baroka, Andrew Tye.

Confidence is not high with the Lions after their 10-wicket defeat to Kolkata.

Playing four overseas batsmen at the top didn’t work out and their batting looks vulnerable.

With Ravindra Jadeja and Dwayne Bravo ruled out for a few games at least, James Faulkner is the man to balance out the squad.

Especially given the fact the Lions’ all-Indian bowling line-up looks a little weak.

Dinesh Karthik’s form and Suresh Raina’s half century against the Riders were the only positives for Gujarat and if they are looking to defend with the bowling line-up they have, they would hope their batting fires big time.

PREDICTED GL XI: McCullum, Roy, Raina (c), Finch, D Karthik (wk), Faulkner, Praveen, Kulkarni, Gony, Jakati, S Kaushik.
