    Pakistan put their nightmare Asia Cup campaign firmly behind them as they reached 255-3 on the opening day of the first Test against Australia on Sunday.

    Batting first in pristine batting conditions, returning batsman Mohammad Hafeez hit his 10th Test century, finishing on 126, while fellow opener Imam-ul-Haq made his best score of 76 as Sarfraz Ahmed’s openers added 205.

    2.13: The new Rawalpindi Express arrives in Abu Dhabi

    One player who stood out as Pakistan Super League franchise Lahore Qalandars won the inaugural edition of the Abu Dhabi T20 tournament was fast bowler Haris Rauf.

    The new Rawalpindi Express bowled a great mix of super quick yorkers, full balls and short deliveries during the death overs. He was clocked consistently close to or at 148kph during his spell and troubled the Titans batsmen, including former international Albie Morkel.

    12.08pm: Pakistan v Australia first Test, day one LIVE: Follow updates from Dubai as Pakistan elect to bat first

    Day one of the first Test between Pakistan and Australia has got underway in Dubai on Sunday.

    The hosts won the toss and elected to bat first and by lunch had reached 89 without loss with Imam-ul-Haq not out on 36 and the recalled Mohammad Hafeez not out on 48.
