  • It’s the fifth day of the first Test match between Pakistan and Australia and it’s all to play for with the ‘hosts’ needing seven wickets to claim victory in Dubai.

    Australia salvaged a thrilling draw thanks to Usman Khawaja’s seventh Test century. He was dismissed for 141 and while Yasir Shah finished with four wickets, Australia hung on to finish 362-8 for an incredible draw.

    Earlier, Mohammad Hafeez got Pakistan’s first wicket of the day when he trapped Travis Head LBW with the new ball in the second session. Head was dismissed for 72 after reaching his first Test fifty.

    Things went from bad to worse for the tourists as Yasir Shah trapped Marnus Labuschagne for 13 to leave Australia 252-5.

    The Australian batsmen dominated the morning session as Travis Head and Usman Khawaja frustrated Pakistan as they reached 215-3 at lunch-time. Head scored his maiden Test half-century while Khawaja was unbeaten on 82.
