  • After the thrilling draw in the first Test, Pakistan and Australia meet again in Abu Dhabi.

Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed won the toss and opted to bat, handing debuts to Fakhar Zaman and 26-year-old left-arm paceman Mir Hamza.

However, Pakistan lost an early wicket when Mitchell Starc dismissed Mohammad Hafeez for 5. After 20 overs, the hosts were in big trouble as Nathan Lyon took charge, taking the next four including two in consecutive deliveries.

At lunch, Pakistan were 77-5 but debutant Zaman went on to score his maiden half-century as he and Sarfraz aim to rebuild the innings. Sarfraz went on to score an unbeaten fifty as the pair brought up Pakistan’s 150-mark.

Zaman’s remarkable innings came to an end when he was dismissed for 94. Sarfraz went on to score an identical total before Mohammad Abbas was the last man out as Pakistan finished 282 in their first innings.
