    The second Test between Pakistan and Australia starts in Abu Dhabi today, while England play Sri Lanka in the third ODI on Wednesday. We have all the news from these series plus everything else that is happening across the globe in the world of cricket.

    11:00 pm – England go with pace

    England will return to a familiar team shape in the third one-day international against Sri Lanka, adding an extra pace bowler in place of the departed Liam Dawson.

    Joe Denly, recalled to the 50-over side after a nine-year absence, will not join his team-mates until a matter of hours before the scheduled start time and neither he, nor the freshly-married and newly-arrived Liam Plunkett, will be considered for selection.

    Instead, Tom Curran looks set to feature ahead of Mark Wood. More details here.

    8:00 pm – Sarfraz may miss Day Two

    Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed could miss Wednesday’s play due to the hit on the forearm he received from a Mitchell Starc delivery on the opening day of the second Test against Australia.

    Sarfraz was hit around the elbow region by the Australian pacer during his 94-run knock at Sheikh Zayed Stadium which helped the hosts recover from 57-5 to 282 on Tuesday.

    7:00 pm – Pakistan hold upper hand

    Debutant Fakhar Zaman and skipper Sarfraz Ahmed fell six runs short of a century as Pakistan recovered from a dreadful start to take a slight edge going into the second day of the second Test in Abu Dhabi against Australia.

    Zaman and Sarfraz put on a vital 147-run stand for the sixth wicket before falling to Marnus Labuschagne as Pakistan scored 282 before the hosts tsnared two quick wickets.

    2.23pm: Virat Kohli and other Indian stars want a change of Test ball

    Concerns over the quality of the SG Test ball by some of India’s top stars are another reason why Dukes should become the standard red cherry, writes Ajit Vijaykumar.

    12.51pm: Pakistan in big trouble as Australia’s Nathan Lyon takes quick wickets in Abu Dhabi

    Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat in the Second Test in Abu Dhabi but they lost an early wicket when Mitchell Starc dismissed Mohammad Hafeez for 5.

    Worse was to come for the hosts as Nathan Lyon took charge, taking the next four including two in consecutive deliveries.

    11.17am: Lahore Qalandars could be invited back to defend their Abu Dhabi T20 title

    Organisers of the Abu Dhabi T20 are hoping to invite champions Lahore Qalandars to defend their title in next season’s competition.

    The Pakistan Super League franchise defeated South Africa’s Multiply Titans by 15 runs earlier this month to reign supreme in the inaugural tournament.

    10.02am: UAE’s T10 League appoints Sony TV as Broadcast Partner for three years

    T10 League, the world’s first 10-over international professional cricket league that is licensed by Emirates Cricket Board (ECB), has appointed Sony Pictures Networks as their broadcast partners for South Asia, Middle East and North Africa for three years from its Second Season that takes place from November 21 till December 2, 2018.
