Khaleel Ahmed is being compared to Irfan Pathan following his showing in India’s 224-run win over the West Indies in the fourth ODI at Mumbai on Monday. The left-armed pacer picked up 3-13 from his five overs as the visitors were bowled out for just 153 in reply to India’s 377-5.

10:00pm – Mike Hesson appointed as new Kings XI Punjab coach
The Indian Premier League (IPL) might still be a few months away but Kings XI Punjabhave been keeping busy in the run-up to the auctions.
The Mohali-based franchise has roped in former New Zealand coach Mike Hesson for the upcoming edition. The former Blackcaps boss replaces Brad Hodge as the team’s coach despite the Australian signing on for a period of three years ahead of the 2018 edition.

9:00pm – Ranatunga arrested before being released on bail
Former Sri Lanka skipper Arjuna Ranatunga was in the thick of things as the political crisis in the country continued following President Maithripala Sirisena’s decision to dismiss Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and dissolve the cabinet.
The 1996 World Cup winning captain was arrested by the Sri Lankan police on Monday over a shooting incident before being subsequently released on bail.

7:00pm – India inflict crushing 224-run defeat on Windies
West Indies’ reply to India’s 377-5 in the fourth ODI at Mumbai has lasted less than 37 overs with the visitors being bundled out for 153 runs. Khaleel Ahmed was the star for India with the ball with a three-wicket haul while Windies skipper Jason Holder showed some fight with a battling half-century. The hosts have now taken a 2-1 lead in the five-match series.

5:00pm – Babar Azam becomes top-ranked T20I batsman
Pakistan batsman Babar Azam has once again reclaimed the top spot in the ICC T20 rankings for batsmen in the latest update released on Monday.
The Pakistan stalwart had a prolific time in the side’s 3-0 clean sweep of Australia in the UAE where he registered scores of 68no, 45 and 50 in the three matches.

4:00pm – India set Windies a target of 378 in fourth ODI
India’s innings in the fourth ODI against Windies at the Brabourne stadium in Mumbai has come to an end and the hosts have posted a mammoth 377-5 in their 50 overs. Centuries from Rohit Sharma (162) and Ambati Rayudu (100) were the guiding forces for India’s big score.

3:00pm – Sarfraz Ahmed brands Australia as ‘mentally weak’
Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed has branded Australia as “mentally weak” after his side completed a comfortable 3-0 sweep of the T20I series in Dubai on Sunday night.
“Looks like Australia are mentally weak at the moment,” said Ahmed, “the moment we put them under pressure they collapse every time.”

2:00pm – Jos Buttler likely to cover for injured Jonny Bairstow behind the stumps
With Jonny Bairstow injued, Jos Buttler might get the nod for England’s first test match against Sri Lanka on 6th November according to Enland captain Joe Root. He added that Bairstow is showing good progress in his recovery and might be able to join the team soon.
