Suspended batsman David Warner batted against Australia’s Test pace attack during a net session at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Sunday.

Hours before Australia were to take on India in the deciding T20 in Sydney, Warner padded up to face Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins ahead of the four-Test series against the visitors.

Warner continues to serve his one-year ban following the ball tampering scandal that rocked Australian cricket earlier in the year. But he is leaving no stone unturned as he looks to keep his game sharp as ever. Warner scored 81 from 49 balls for Randwick-Petersham in a local T20 match against UTS North Sydney earlier in the day and promptly prepared to face Australia’s premier quicks who did not hold back.

Hazlewood and Cummins bowled at full pace and troubled Warner consistently. Australia coach Justin Langer watched the session alongside bowling coach David Saker.
