Steve Smith and David Warner will get a taste of what it’ll be like all summer as they face England and a likely mischievous crowd at the Ageas Bowl on Saturday (GST 13:30).
The duo, who were slapped with bans after being found guilty of ball tampering in a Test match against South Africa last year, are back playing in England for the first time since the incident.
Eoin Morgan and Adil Rashid are on the sidelines as they look to heal injuries ahead of England’s May 30 opener, while Joe Root and Jofra Archer have also been rested. Fast bowlers Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins will play no part for Australia.
